The DJM-A9 delivers next-gen club sound with upgraded components and refined technology. It features ESS 32-bit A/D converters on the inputs and 32-bit D/A converters on the outputs for crystal-clear, high-resolution audio. Even the mic and headphone sections have been enhanced for superior sound quality throughout the mix.

Evolved playability

The DJM-A9 offers improved usability with wider spacing around EQ knobs and bright, high-grade LEDs for clear visual feedback. Enhanced isolators are tuned for modern music styles, allowing more dynamic control. Upgraded channel faders and the third-gen MAGVEL FADER crossfader provide ultra-smooth mixing and precise, stable scratching.

Sound Color FX with world’s first Center Lock knob

With the new Center Lock feature on the DJM-A9, Sound Color FX knobs stop at the center point, preventing you from accidentally crossing into the opposite effect. You can turn quickly to max or min without overshooting. Disable Center Lock, and the knobs behave like those on the DJM-900NXS2 for full-range rotation.

Newly advanced Beat FX

The DJM-A9 features a new color display with lighting that mirrors the X-Pad’s layout, making it easier to see and control effects with simple finger slides. Use the X-Pad to tweak Echo and Ping Pong for analog tape-style sounds, and explore three new Beat FX—Mobius, Triplet Filter, and Triplet Roll—for added creative flair. A dedicated channel selector button also streamlines effect routing for faster, more intuitive performance.

Enhanced mic section

The DJM-A9 is the first DJ mixer with a phantom-powered input, allowing direct connection of high-quality condenser mics. It features three new mic effects—Echo, Pitch, and Megaphone—plus dedicated reverb for vocal creativity. The new Push To Talk button makes it easy to engage the mic, and you can exclude mic audio from recordings to keep your mixes clean while hyping the crowd live.

Support for the brand-new Stagehand app and built-in Sound Check function

The DJM-A9 supports Stagehand, the first PRO DJ LINK remote management app for front-of-house teams. With an iPad connected via LAN, engineers can monitor levels and mixer activity in real time—optimizing sound without interrupting the DJ or entering the booth. The Stagehand app is available on the App Store.
